    Peel the sweet potato and potato, then cut them into roughly 2.5–3 cm chunks.

    Fully thaw the chicken wing flats.

    Fully thaw the shrimp, rinse them thoroughly, then drain and set aside.

    Spread the sweet potato and potato chunks evenly across the bottom of the rice cooker.

    Place the chicken wing flats and fish balls on top.

    Sprinkle over the onion seasoning mix, then add the oyster sauce and ketchup.

    Pour in the vegetable juice last.

    Close the lid, start Cook mode, and cook for 25 minutes.

    Add the Shrimp and Rice Cakes

    Open the lid and add the shrimp and rice cake balls.

    Gently press them down with a utensil so they make as much contact as possible with the hot sauce.

    Close the lid, restart Cook mode, and cook for another 8 minutes.

    Finish

    Open the lid and stir thoroughly so the thickened sauce evenly coats the chicken, shrimp, fish balls, rice cakes, sweet potato, and potato.

    Let everything rest for 3–5 minutes so the sauce thickens a little more, then transfer to a serving dish.

    Sprinkle with chopped cilantro or parsley and toasted sesame seeds as desired, then—Cheat Complete!

Cheat Notes

You can also add some celery, garlic, and carrots for extra flavor. Just add them at Step 2.

Do Not Be Reckless

Make sure the chicken wing flats and shrimp are fully thawed. Otherwise, the recipe may not cook properly and could pose a food safety risk.
